Activated on April 1 in the spaces designed to host the DEA, specially reorganized and set up, the Covid Center Campus is a facility equipped to cope with the Covid-19 health emergency. Its 2,100 square meters are completely isolated and physically separated from the rest of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital, which thus remains a safe hospital for non-deferrable services.

IRCSS Spoke Center Lazzaro Spallanzani, the Covid Center has 9 intensive care beds, 7 medium intensity and 24 low intensity places, a dedicated radiology with CT, traditional radiology and ultrasound. The technological equipment includes fans for the respiratory assistance of intubated patients, which are used in Intensive Care beds, and those for non-invasive respiratory support.
